Negative Space, day 1
Last week's photo challenge was Curves (duh) and this week it is Negative Space. I think the second photo here is better use of negative space. Not that a highlighter is a hugely interesting focal point, but whatever.

Eggplant Parm
If you've been following my blog, you've noticed that I haven't posted in awhile (today is January 31). Don't fret, I haven't given up on the 365 Challenge yet! I promise you, I will fess up if I miss a day. I have been taking pictures, I just have not had the time and/or energy to post them. But to be fair to the pictures, I am dating the posts on the day the pics were taken.

Curves, day 2
I didn't like these pictures as taken because I really don't like straight up primary (well, I guess green is actually a secondary) colors, but when I reduced the saturation I liked them better.

Curves
The local moms' board I am on has a great group of moms who are really into photography. Some are professionals and some have just picked it up as a hobby, like myself. One of the moms has started posting weekly photo challenges. She posts a theme each week and encourages anyone to post their photos that relate to that theme. The theme this week is "Curves", which I like much better than last week's theme of "Sleep". I couldn't sneak up on either Isabella or the dogs while they were sleeping and I wasn't creative enough to interpret that theme differently. So here are my first two pictures of "Curves". We can post as many pics as we'd like each week, so I may be taking more. I already have a couple more ideas.

I like this first one because the curvy goblet is on the curvy table. I wanted to also pick up the curvy shadow but the sun was too low, casting a much longer shadow than would work for the shot. It's probably just as well, because that might have been too many curves.
